Ashford Hospital

Ashford Hospital is a private not-for-profit hospital and is a proud member of the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Inc. (ACHA) in South Australia.

Ashford Hospital is located 5 km south west of Adelaide in South Australia.  With 239 beds, it is South Australia’s largest private hospital and considered a centre for clinical and medical excellence.

The hospital performs a broad range of diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures.  Ashford is fully equipped with a level 3 intensive care unit, a high dependency unit, a cardiac care unit, a cardiac surgical unit and a level 2B Nursery.   A comprehensive range of facilities including, Medical Imaging and Pathology on site supports these services.

2008 saw Ashford Hospital embark upon an $8 million theatre expansion project which added three new state of the art digital theatres and a colonoscopy and endoscopy room.

Ashford Hospital is complemented by an Emergency Service.  This service is open between 8am and 10pm, 7 days per week.  After hours patients experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath or other cardiac symptoms can attend the Chest Pain Centre  by calling an Ambulance.

Ashford Hospital is recognised as a centre for maternity and cardiac services, and has the convenience of a Specialist centre, Radiology and Pathology located on-site.
