It is generally accepted that motor vehicles should not be driven by patients within 24 hours of anaesthetic. Please ask your doctor, and follow their instructions with regard to driving post anaesthetic. You may also wish to contact your motor vehicle insurer and enquire about your cover, as some insurers may not indemnify a driver within 24 hours of anaesthetic.
